Baby Update

Things have been a little crazy over the last week. Last Friday I went in for my 37 week appointment and my blood pressure had shot way up. I had to stay there for a while for them to monitor me and it just wasn't going down, so off to the hospital we went. I was monitored there for about 3 hours and eventually it went down to an OK level. Still not great, but much better than what it was. The next morning I was asked to go to a pharmacy and get it checked again and call the doctor. Sure enough, it had shot back up. So back to the hospital we went. I did all sorts of testing, primarily for pre-eclampsia, and everything came back fine. I just have pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). The same thing happened with Hunter, and that is why I was induced at 38 weeks with him. Ever since I have had to be on "couch rest" - considering I have a toddler at home bed rest isn't feasible. It must be working because at my appointment on Monday my blood pressure was way down, at a very healthy level. Not sure if I was going to be sent over to the hospital after that appointment to have the baby or not I had my friend Leslie shoot some of these pictures before hand, when we dropped Hunter off at her house. 

I have my 38 week appointment on Friday, so we will see what my blood pressure looks like then. The doctor said if it is back up again she will induce, but if it is okay she would like baby to cook a little while longer. Keep in mind Mike's birthday is Saturday! Wouldn't that be fun!! We will keep you posted!
