I went in for my 38 week appointment and sure enough, just like Hunter, my blood pressure started to skyrocket. I had been on "couch rest" all week and it didn't seem to help, so they shipped me over to be induced. I was induced at 9 p.m., labored all night, and the next thing I know Henry was about ready to pop out. HOWEVER, the doctor was in surgery so they told me to "hold it in and not push." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I have been working for 12 hours to get to this point and now you are telling me to stop!! What seemed like hours later the doctor finally came in, she suited up, I pushed twice, and here was Henry! That beat the 2 hours I had to push with Hunter! He was 6 lbs and 9 ounces, measuring 20 1/4 inches long. He is just perfect.
Hunter has been so sweet with him too. He sings to him all the time and is momma's big helper. Henry sleeps all day and is up all night, and then when you have a toddler that is up at 5:30 a.m. it's really great. So needless to say I am EXHAUSTED, but I will do my best to upload the million photos I have taken over the last week.
