Memorial Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! On Saturday we loaded up the dogs and headed to Lake Chelan for the day. It was cloudy and sprinkled on us a little bit, but wasn't bad. Our first stop was a park so Hunter could have a snack and stretch our legs a little!

Beautiful!

It was warm enough Hunter had to switch to shorts! He also encountered his first duck..lol. It was so funny, he would run towards it and then stop and start laughing and stomping in place. He was so excited!! But he didn't want to get too close!
We loaded back up and drove around for a while, checking out all the sites. We parked on the main drag and did a little shopping. Tons of great little shops! We stopped for lunch and I couldn't resist taking a picture of this menu item...lol...I told Mike he should be ashamed that he didn't order it! But they had a Chicken Fried Steak sandwich on the menu and we all know how much he loves Chicken Fried Steak!
Panoramic view of Lake Chelan, well part of it. The lake is pretty big!
It was a fun trip, but for those that have dogs, it isn't really a dog-friendly town. You can't let the dogs out at any of the parks. So we stopped on Blewett Pass, up a logging road, and let the puppies play!

On Sunday we did a lot of gardening, in between rain storms. We went to a local nursery to pick some things out and Mike pulled Hunter around on a wagon, which he loved. They also had a cat there, which I think was Hunter's first time encountering a cat. "Pumpkin" was super sweet and let Hunter chase him around. We planted flowers and some bushes in front of the house. It looks really nice! Now if we could only get some sun so things can grow!

On Monday we took the boat out on the Columbia. This was Hunter's first time on the boat!! He did great!!
Can you tell we were into the panoramic function on the camera this weekend?
 My boys!
 Driving!! LOL!
He couldn't sit very well in the lifejacket...lol.
This is better Mom! He was YELLING the whole time...lol...so excited! Notice his "boat shoes" - Mike made sure he had them on.

Be sure to turn it up! This is really entertaining! Hunter is a natural behind the wheel on the boat!

We were only out for about an hour, Hunter was ready to run and play! But it was a great Maiden Voyage! He did really well and seemed to like it. I can't wait for it to warm up and we can anchor somewhere and get out and swim!!

Even though it was kind of a rainy/cloudy weekend, we had a lot of fun. Kept busy each day, but also was able to sneak in a few afternoon naps!! Hope everyone enjoyed the holliday weekend too!!
