Last weekend Ellensburg and the surrounding area got a TON of rain. Now, I know most of my friends and family live in Oregon and are probably like, "oh yeah, I am sure it is a TON!" But really, it was pouring! So add that to all the snow melting in the mountains and what do you get?? Flooding! The pictures were taken on Monday, after things had receded a little. The worst was on Sunday.
This is where I usually park every day. I had to find a new spot!
Same lot, different angle.
Most of the streets around campus were covered in water.
Um, believe it or not, this park normally doesn't have a pond.
I am glad we live on a hill!
Three days later things are starting to recede. I could finally park in my normal spot and not have to drive through water on the way in this morning. I guess most of the farms got hit pretty hard, all the colverts and drains just were overflowing.
It is suppose to be in the 70's all week, so hopefully things dry out soon!!
I was thinking of you when watching the Seattle news. Tried to call to see if you were enjoying your new 4x4 in the flood! Looks like you got around just fine!
