Last weekend of summer

This past weekend was the last weekend of summer. 95-degree weather. Ugh, I am kind of over summer, but in no time there will be snow on the ground and I will be glad we celebrated the last warm weekend with a bang! We decided to drive up to Lake Cle Elum for the day. We were surprised to see how low the lake was! We were able to find a Forest Service Road that led us down to park right next to the water. As if that wasn't cool enough, we had the whole area to ourselves!

The shore was pretty muddy, but Hunter loved it! He also loved throwing all the rocks. Do you see a mischievous look here or what?!?!
 Muddy hug for Mom!!
Chillin' in the water. I love that his toes are peeking through...lol.
We had mud from head to toe - literally.

The Explorer did great - we even had to put in 4-wheel drive! I thought my Uncle Bob would like this shot!
 Swimming with Dad!
For those that don't know, mud doesn't taste good. Apparently Hunter didn't get that memo.
I realize this is like the 10th pic of him just sitting on the beach, but he is so freaking cute! I can't resist. And once again, it is my blog, I can do what I want. :)
Once we changed and left the lake we went to Roslyn and stopped at a really cool pizza place, Village Pizza. You don't have plates, you eat off the wax paper..lol. Kind of fun. Plus, less dishes for Hunter to chuck off the table. The pizza was DELISH (and the locally brewed beer too!).
 PIZZA COMA!
We had a great weekend playing out in the hot weather. On Monday Fall fell here in Ellensburg. It is now only getting to the low 70s every day and I think the low last night was in the 40s. YAY!!
