Happy Birthday Hunter!

I can't believe my lil' guy is already 3!! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He is growing up so fast! Every day he just seems more and more like a little man...wahhh!! :( So in typical fashion, I had to throw a huge party. Birthdays are big in my family, and of course I don't hold back when it comes to the party. I could blame Pinterest, but it is really all my doing! This year's party was construction theme! Hunter loves trucks and dirt, so it was a natural fit. We were lucky that so many family and friends were able to come and celebrate!

Photo bomb by cousin Kenny! LOL Front door. The sign says "Crew Enters Here."
I was able to find a concrete mixer truck piñata. More to come on that below!
Hunter just supervising before the party starts with Kenny.
Another pic of the door.
Sawhorses made good weights for balloons!
Another set of balloons at the start of the driveway!
Cousin fun. I can't believe my niece and nephew are this huge!
Just hanging out by the fire with Uncle Bob. It was nice outside, but a little chilly, so the fire was a nice touch!
Inside I had all the party toys and favors ready for the kids.
I had construction hats and Home Depot aprons for all the kids. Hunter had the white hat, he was the foreman - naturally.

The cake! Yes, those are trucks and construction equipment moving around dirt (a.k.a crushed up Oreos)
Drinks table - and yes that is wine. We are German Catholics, what do you expect? Beer was outside with the fire pit.
More decorations.

Presents!

Um, any excuse to have yummy snacks, right?

My family! Sister in law Cara, Aunt Cammy and my Mom. So great having them there and they were so helpful getting the party all ready to go!
My Mom's office just did some construction work, so she brought her Pink hat!!
And of course Cara and I had to try them on!
Party is getting started and friends are showing up!
Just love him to pieces!
I am three!
Men.
Playing with friends!
Lunch break.
Hunter's face in this picture cracks me up. Just a man and his juice box.
Like I said, it was pretty nice out considering it is January! So the kids got to burn off some energy outside! And yes, Mike is sporting his hard hat from work too!
Mike and Uncle Steven getting the piñata ready. Hunter is supervising.
The kids loved it!
Video is in 2 parts because I accidently hit stop.

Yay! Candy!!
After all that the kids took a break and warmed up.

We had so much fun! I even got a picture with my husband!!
The Holliday's!
Present time! He was so lucky and got so many great things. Dinosaurs, trucks, games, paint, backpack, chalk, crayons...and more!

Now it was time for cake!
So I made a chocolate and yellow cake and stacked them so it would look like caution tape when you cut into - it most likely isn't obvious so I have to point it out because an 8-layer cake is d*** hard to do! LOL
They were so happy to have the cake they actually were ok smiling for the camera!
Uncle Bob busted trying to steal cake. He was brave to stick his hand in there.
Happy Birthday!
More playing outside after the cake! He rocks a pink hat, don't ya think?
The party was a great success! We had a great time and THANK YOU to everyone for coming, helping out with before and after, and for all the gifts! Hunter is truly blessed to have so many great people in his life - as are we! You all truly made the day special, so thank you!

The next day we got a package in the mail from Grandpa and Grandma Johnson. More toys and gifts! He really liked them. And yes, those are overalls he got at his party. So cute right?!?! LOL

Once again, thank you everyone!
