So I am still a little behind in posts. 2 weekends ago we had 2 birthday parties to go to. The first one on a Saturday, the second on a Sunday. Yes, Hunter is that popular. LOL. In fact, we often times go to the grocery store and many of the students from his daycare will recognize him and say hi. What can I say, when you are that cute, you are bound to be popular! :)
The first party was for his friends Haley and Jack. Haley was turning 3 and her little brother was turning 1. It was a beautiful day and Hunter LOVED playing with all their toys!
It took him about 5 seconds to find the Fireman's hat and tractor. They were "his" for the rest of the day.Yup, those are all the kids in the background taking turns at the piƱata. And that's my kid, could care less, just wants to ride the pink bike. LOL.
Cheese! In fact, at this moment, on top of Haley's awesome swing set, Mike drove up. Haley and Jacks dad is a Game Warden and when he heard Mike shot a deer (the party was on opening day) he told him to stop by so he could look at it.
He LOVES to play on slides....I see something like this being a purchase in our near future...
Haley is in the center, or shall I say the one licking her finger. HA!
Baby Jack turning 1, he is so cute.
Hunter rockin' the party hat.
Who say's a toddler can't gracefully eat a piece of birthday cake?
So that is my son, sitting on Haley's stool wanting to open her presents. HA! He was having a hard time understanding it isn't his birthday. Look at baby Jack on the right...lol.
I don't get to shop for girls very often, so I was selfish and got her a dress and hair ties. Shopping for girls is so much fun! We got Jack a "book" that has "pages" that sings songs and has flashy buttons. Hunter had the same one as a kid and LOVED it, so I thought Jack might too - and he did!
Another awesome toy - a trampoline, he loved it.
He was laughing so hard when the other girls would jump, which would make him bounce.
We had a great time. The weather was perfect and the company was great. Thank you Carlo and Stefanie for inviting us!
On Sunday we were headed to party #2, at the City Pool. Mike was able to come because deer season was over for him, so that was fun. It had been a while since were at the pool, and Hunter sure has grown since. The last time we were here he was just crawling around and was just learning what it "felt like" to be in a pool. This time he was "walking fast" a.k.a. as fast as I would let him but was treading very close to running around the pool to jump in. YES, he was jumping in! Thankfully Mike was helping him out of the pool and I stayed in to "catch" him. Him and his friend Peytin were having so much fun!
This is the best photo you will get while trying to keep a toddler still in a pool.
Yup, my kid the first in line for cake. We taught him right.
Some of his buddies eating cake. From left to right: Theo, Ethan (birthday boy), Peytin (Ethan's brother) and you all know who is on the end. Shirts are optional at this point in the party too, apparently.
We had a great time at both parties. It was a busy weekend when you add in the buck Mike shot, but we had a blast.
