We cruised through Farmer's Market on the way. It was packed and Hunter loved checking out all the dogs!
They had some goats out for kids to pet, Hunter thought that was pretty coll too!
We ran into Hunter's buddy Banks. Not sure why Hunter is being shy, this is not normal....
I spotted a corgi! The lady was so funny, she said she tried to enter her dog into the costume contest as a dachshund dressed up as a corgi (yes, there dachshunds dressed up in costumes everywhere and there was an official contest) but they wouldn't let her. HA!
They closed down the street and brought in sod and chairs for the races. Yup, weenie races, in addition to the dachshund parade and costume contest of course. LOL, so funny.
RUN WEENIE! They were historical! And the crowd was totally into it!
Best seat in the house.
I turned around and saw this horse...I mean Great Dane! With all the wiener dogs running around he stood out like a sore thumb! Well, he stands out anyway!
Hunter didn't want to pet him...lol.
ADORABLE! Love my boys, we had so much fun!
A better view of the races. The volunteers were wearing green shirts that said "Weenie Wrangler"...LOLOL!
After checking out the puppies we stopped by one of our favorite pizza joints on the way home. There was a guy making animal balloons for the kids - dogs of course.
We munched on pizza and had a great time!
....so much fun that Hunter fell asleep at the table...and yes, that girl in the background was laughing. :)
After making it home and taking a much-needed nap we headed to the library! We ran into Hunter's teacher there, which was fun! Hunter isn't a big fan of being quiet in the library, but we never got "shushed," so that is a win.
We rounded out the day with a trip to a new cupcake store in town...after that huge walk it was deserved, right!?!? Anyway, with how busy work and school has been, I really enjoyed a fun weekend with my boys!
