Labor Day weekend is always a big deal in Ellensburg. That is when the fair and rodeo come to town. It is always really fun and I enjoy seeing a little more hustle and bustle around the town - well, mostly.
It all starts out Saturday morning with the parade. TONS of people come out for it, and line the streets. My friends, the Steffen's family, came over for it from Grand Coulee. It was really great seeing them and the girls love hanging out with Hunter.
It was a super hot morning!
Shriners in their little cars. Too funny.
Hunter loved watching the parade on his Dad's lap!
I got some snuggles in too!
He had a great time looking at all the horses, trucks, cars, etc. So much to check out! And so many noises!
Even Ronald McDonald came!
These guys were great. They each rode motorcycles, but ditched them to climb on top of each other to form a pyramid.
There they go!
Next was the fair and rodeo. We skipped the rodeo though. Hunter was ready to MOVE and not sit still in one place any longer. So we checked out all the 4-H animals.
He was so funny. Would run to each stall and look in the fenced area to see what was in there.
NEIGH!!!!!!!!!!!
"Dad, there's a horse in there!!"
Hunter wasn't shy at all. Stuck his hand out and petted the HUGE horse, no prob. Even that lady was impressed.
BAHHHH! He was so funny. He would just run around yelling out all the farm animal noises. He would bend down and just yell at them...lol.
If you don't believe me, here is proof. And yes, his shirt says "Little Cowboy" - he is too cute!
Petting a bunny. He always tries to catch the ones in our yard, so it was very exciting to finally pet one!
MOOO! See, you can see him yelling at the cow. LOL.
Time for the carnival! We didn't go on any rides, of course, but we did hit the Elephant Ear stand. That is the whole point of going, right?
And he loved them...surprise, surprise.
A great day with my boys!
We had so much fun, but we were all tuckered out by the end of the day. It was a long, hot one!
