Last weekend Hunter, Mike and I loaded up and headed to the mother-state, ♥Idaho♥. It was Genesee Community Days so I wanted to go visit my hometown, plus, a few of my high school classmates were getting together that I hadn't seen in a long time. It was also a great chance to visit my Dad and Laura!
We got in Friday afternoon (picked up Grandma along the way) and my step-brother, John, and his family came over for dinner. It was their first time meeting Hunter and the girls just loved him....of course! It was great seeing them, I hadn't seen them in a long time.
Playing on the trampoline!
John and Melissa's girls: Peytin, Brittanie and Maddie
Brittanie would make a great nanny! But (unfortunately) she is going to the U of I this fall!
Miss Diva! She said so herself!
Four generations of Johnson's!

Saturday morning we were off to Genesee! I was excited to get up there and watch the parade down Main Street. The Kiddie Parade kicked things off. I remember doing this as a kid! I spent hours decorating my bike!
Hunter LOVED the fire trucks and police cars, course they make a lot of noise!
Not sure who was dressed up as the clown, but he did a great job and gave Hunter a couple of stickers.
Awe, home.
Ok family and friends - can you spot anybody in this picture? :)
Hunter loved the horses too!
YES! That is a corgi in the front seat! We boarded the dogs for the weekend, so I was in need of a corgi-fix!
We went down to the park after the parade. As you can see, it was a GORGEOUS day! There was so much going on! Bouncy house, dunk tank and a climbing wall for the kids. Tons of races and even vendor booths set up on the street selling food, cotton candy, jewelry and a bunch of other stuff. I don't remember it being this fun! Tons of people out and about too!I had so much fun running into people I hadn't seen in years. From my kindergarten teacher and old neighbors to my high school classmates and family friends, I saw so many people and it was so great catching up! It was also nice to drive by my old house and see that the owners are taking such good care of it. We also went to the cemetery to visit my Grandma and Grandpa, which was my first time being there since they both have been gone. Sure miss them!
It was a great weekend! Lots of time with family and friends. Thanks Dad and Laura for hosting us - hope you can come our way this summer!
