Weekend trip

Last weekend I had a "me" weekend. I took Friday off and left the husband and dogs at home. I went over to Longview, WA to visit my friend Libby and then down to Portland to see my mom.

I took HWY 12 over and it was a gorgeous drive! I went right along side Mount Rainier.

My friends Libby and Brian had a baby girl a few months ago, Evelyn Grace. Little Evie is absolutely adorable! She was all smiles and just a fun baby.

Next stop was Portland, which is only about an hour from Longview, to visit my mom for the rest of the weekend. My Aunt Cammy came into town from the Oregon Coast too, and she brought with her some fresh caught crab and salmon for me to bring home! YUMMY! We had a great time shopping and walking around the Pearl District in downtown Portland.

I had a wonderful weekend and so did Mike. He played up in the woods on Saturday getting fire wood and then on Sunday went fishing with a friend. He caught 3 salmon, I think they are a special kind of salmon that only run once a year.....sorry guys, you will have to call him to get the specifics of the fishing trip.

Thanks Mom and Libby/Brian for a great weekend! Thank you Aunt Cammy for the delicious crab and salmon....we had a crab feed Sunday night! I can't wait to get over there again!!
