Demo on the kitchen

So we began about two days after moving in demo on the kitchen! It has been quite the project! We have been working so hard, but it already looks so much better just with the plywood!

Here we are taking out all the cabinets. We lucked out and will be able to just sand and paint the cabinets. 

Here is the kitchen with most of the cabinets out. And yes, we bought new appliances!

Notice that the wallpaper is gone too! I am sure Mike and I have asbestos poisoning at this point..but oh well!

The sanding begins! This is such a long part of the process. But the cabinets will look really nice when we are done.

We had to go through and chip away all the glue....that was a pain!

Everything is out!

We are hoping to have the cabinets sanded and painted by this weekend. So next week I will hopefully have some before and after pics to put up! Our appliances come next week...so we are hoping to be all done very soon!
