Ok, I know it has been a while since I have posted and I have so much to catch you up on! But it is so hard to get inside to do the blog when it is summer time!
Anyhoo, last Saturday we had some CRAZY weather in Ellensburg. It was suppose to be around 95 that day and early in the afternoon all of the sudden some HUGE rain drops started coming down, closely followed by a torrential downpour! We have never seen it rain so much so fast. We got inches and inches of rain in the matter of an hour or so. Flooded houses, trees fell on houses - it was crazy. Not only was it raining, but the wind was blowing and hail! The pictures don't do it justice.
Later that afternoon, after the storm had pass, we were off to a play date with Banks, one of Hunter's friends from school. Abby (Banks' mom) and I had a nice time visiting on the porch, sipping on margaritas and eating yummy snacks!
Banks was sleeping when we got there, but Hunter didn't mind. Banks' sister, Brixton, kept him entertained - she is so cute! Plus, Hunter had to scope out all of Banks' toys!
I see one of these in our future...he loved it.
They even had a little cabin, it was so cute and Hunter loved! Take an 1800's prairie-style home and miniaturize it - complete with a porch and everything! So cool! And yes, Hunter isn't above playing with the Easy-Bake-Oven!
I get you Mom!
After the storm it was so humid that it stayed pretty warm. Nothing like playing in the rain!
Banks is awake!! Hi friend!! Such a cutie! Their birthdays are only two weeks apart and they are buds. Look at those curls!
Kickin' back, just having snack.
We had a really nice time. Abby and I enjoyed (a couple) drinks while the kids played around in the yard! I sure hope we haven another play date again soon! Hopefully on a sunny day! After that Saturday, we got a few days of extremely hot weather! Yikes! Thank God we have AC, but poor Mike had to work out in the elements all day in Yakima, which is always warmer. One day he was welding in a huge, metal pipe. Poor guy. Glad we have a cool house (and cold beer) for him to come home to!
Yup, 103. BARF!
We had a great weekend last weekend, even though the rain was crazy! We are really enjoying not traveling as much and spending a little bit of time home relaxing and hanging out with friends!
