Yes, it is over 2 weeks since Halloween and I am just now posting pictures. :) That's how I roll these days. Hunter, as you can see, wanted to be a fireman this year. He loves anything that has to do with firemen, firetrucks, etc. So of course I went on to Pinterest to see what crafty things other mom's have done for fireman costumes. Came across this number. Yup, that is yellow and silver duck tape. We had the suspenders, black t-shirt, carharts and boots - just needed the hat and I ordered that on Amazon for 10 bucks. WIN! I think it turned out great and Hunter loved it. (*He loved it so much he wore it for the next 3 days straight - no joke)
Then, as if things couldn't have been more perfect, I got some hand-me-down clothes from my brother and sure enough there was a baby fireman costume in it! It was quite big on Henry, but he sported it the entire evening. How cute are they?!?!
We went over to Leslie and Chris' house for dinner and to trick-or-treat. Leslie's parents were in town and it was great to catch up with them too. Emma wanted to be Iron Man for Halloween. Please note the (adorable) pink shoes. :) They were so excited to go trick-or-treating!
They also loved handing out candy during dinner! Emma's face in this picture cracks me up!
Off we go! I was carrying Henry in the baby bjorn. It was crazy to think he was actually due on this day. I think it worked out better for him to come a little early to not only be born on his daddy's birthday, but to also get "his own Halloween candy." I mean, I am nursing him, so by eating it all he still got some...right??
One of the first stops had this cute dog that was all dressed up and feeling festive. He was great!
So, for those that don't know, Hunter does the cutest thing when he gets SUPER excited - he stutters a little. LOL. So he would go up to the house and no joke it took forever for him to say trick-or-treat. Some people would stand patiently and wait, but some would cut him off and say, "it's ok buddy, here you go" and hand him the candy...lol. I swear, it was so adorable every single time! And I know I am biased, but everyone else thought so too! :)
This house was fun. The dad was dressed up as Superman! And yes, Emma has a pink pumpkin bucket to match her pink shoes - LOVE IT!
So, this is the same house, and a baby came to say hi. Hunter just stared at it for the longest time. LOL! Awkward! We kept saying "c'mon Hunter, let's go." And he just stood there. It was hilarious. I wonder since Henry was just 2 weeks old if that had something to do with it. Anyway, everyone thought it was so funny...even Superman.
Once Emma and Hunter got the hang of this whole trick-or-treating thing it didn't take long for them to not only start running to each house, but to also knock and peek through any open windows. They were polite though, here is their first knock.....
....waited a whole second and then starting looking through windows. How could you say no to these two cute faces looking in at you!
....you can't.
We had a great time! To say Hunter (and Henry) were tuckered out at the end is an understatement. They scored some yummy candy and we had a great time with our friends. Boo!
