Well, we are here! It has been an adventure - to say the least! For only being 350 miles from Ellensburg, Bend is a whole new world. There are lizards and scorpions - one of the latter made it into the house! Did I freak? You bet your a**!! LOL The heat is so much hotter here too. We will be on the deck and it is sweltering and only 75 degrees. And, the hottest part of the day is mid-morning to noon, whereas in Ellensburg it is late afternoon. Like I said, it is crazy different, but we are adapting and I think we are really going to like it. Our house is outside of town and I really like country living - but could do without all the mice and rats we had to deal with in our house!! LOL Here are a few photos.
The landlord planted grass in the front, so that was nice. But Hunter likes to chase (and pee on) the lizards and dig in the dirt most. It is quiet and we have 2 donkeys next door that crack me up. If we ever own a home with acerage we are definitely getting donkeys! I will post pics of the inside later, when more is put away. Being super pregnant and it being so hot, unpacking has taken a while!!
