A visit with Santa and then off to get a tree!

So, I totally forgot I had this post yet to do. Nothing like posting about meeting Santa and getting our Christmas tree 3 days AFTER Christmas, ugh. Better late than never, right?

Every year, since Hunter was born, we go up to Cle Elum to see Santa at a local bakery there. We always have a ton of fun, and it is a great excuse to stock up on some yummy treats! Hunter is usually fine with meeting Santa. Even when he was a baby he didn't cry, he just would give us this look like "uh, who's this guy and why am I sitting on his lap?" This year was super fun though, Hunter is starting to get old enough to really understand Christmas and he was excited to see Santa.

He just walked right up to him...lol.
Just chattin'. When Santa asked him what he wanted, Hunter said, "A Christmas Tree." How cute, right?!?!
Christmas 2014 (yes, he was more interested in the cookie)

"Um, thanks for the chat and cookie Santa, but this is a pretty sweet ride."
"Yup, pretty cool." (Hunter wouldn't stop talking about that car. I think he liked it more than Santa....)
Having his "coffee" (a.k.a hot cocoa) and cookie from Santa.
Right before we left Santa asked Hunter if he wanted to ride in the car. You should have seen the smile on his face!
He was cruising around the bakery and loving every minute of it!
After Santa, "coffee," cookies and playing in the pedal car, we were off to get our tree! On the way we saw quite a few deer. Hunter is obsessed with deer and elk, so this was a real treat for him!....Mike too...
The deer were on Mike's side, so I asked him to get a few pics. This is what I got: 1 of a deer peeing...
...and another of a deer about ready to go...well, you know....I mean seriously! 2 pictures and this is what I get! He was fired as family photographer pretty fast, which I don't think he was too upset about.
With Mom back behind the camera we were off! In search of the perfect tree.
Hunter kept pointing to HUGE trees and saying "dis one Dad!" It was super cute.
What boy isn't a huge fan of jumping off tree stumps?
Here it is! Compared to all the other trees it looked like it would fit in our house perfectly, at least I thought. Mike rolled his eyes and said it was still huge...lol. Sure enough, when we got home, he still had to cut off a few feet. I hate it when he is right...
Hunter managed to slow down for just a second to get a pic with his Mom. :)
The loggers sizing up the tree, figuring out the best course of action.

Hunter "helped" Mike with the tree all the way to the road.

After we got home (took naps and shaved off a few feet off the tree) we decorated it. While I was getting stuff out I stumbled on this. Hunter had found a Santa hat and put it on, all by himself. LOL. Too cute!
More pics of the tree and Christmas morning to come! Stay tuned! (yes, there is video too)
