Celebrating 7 Years!

On July 21 Mike and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. It is crazy to think 7 years ago I was on a beach with my new husband soaking up the sun and enjoying the best mojitos imaginable in Mexico. I am so glad we did it when we could, because with remodeling the house, work, Hunter and now school, there is no time (and money!) to enjoy a trip like that! LOL. We have been through a lot in the last 7 years. Deaths, layoffs, moving, and just the normal stresses in life, but we have also been through some great times, like the birth of our son, buying our first home and just getting to come home to each other every day. I can't wait to see what the next 7 years (and many more) have in store for us!

To celebrate we hired a babysitter and went out for a super fancy dinner. There is a new restaurant in the Yakima River Canyon that we wanted to try out. It is right on the river and really nice. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the view and sunset. It was a gorgeous evening!

Next to the restaurant are cabins and a resort where people can stay and rent rafts.

Right off the deck was a great view of the river. We had fun watching people pull out their boats...lol.

Awe! We dined on all sorts of yummy seafood, had great drinks and just enjoyed having an evening out. We stayed there for a while, just ordering drinks and talking. We had a wonderful time!

As if the evening couldn't have gotten better for Mike, he saw a sheep on the way out to our car. So we had to stand and watch it for a while....
