Remodeling.....again....

Hello family and friends, I know, I have kind of been MIA for a few weeks. This class is keeping me super busy! So I am sorry I am not updating the blog as much anymore, but after working all day, doing the mom-thing and then spending all evening online doing homework - the blog tends to get ignored....BUT, there is light! Next Friday my paper is due and I am officially on Spring Break! PAR-TAY!!!

As if life isn't crazy enough, we are remodeling - again. Our bedroom and bathroom were the last things needed to remodel in the house. Soo, after a week or so emptying out the spare bedroom, we moved in. Going from a fairly large room and bathroom down to a smaller one is kind of a challenge! But we were able to go through lots of things, so a little Spring cleaning was nice!

Anyhoo, Mike has been home during the days working away on our master bedroom. I didn't get a "before" picture, but I am pretty sure most of you have seen the disgusting wood paneling and turquoise shag carpet. If not, I think that is explanation enough!

We decided to move the closet which was on the back wall in this picture. I always hated where it was and plus, we were going to have to redo it anyway because it wasn't wide enough for my hangers to be straight - did hangers change in the last 40 years? What were people thinking in 1964 when they built this house!?!?

Here is the same shot, but more of the right side of the room in the picture so you can see where the (I almost said "my") nice, big closet will go.

Here is the room from the other angle. Mike is going to finish our room first and then tackle the bathroom/laundry room.

He has quite a project ahead of him, but I can't wait!!! I am foreseeing new bedroom furniture, linens, etc. in my future....hmmm....anyone want to do a little shopping with me!?!? Oh, and if you come to visit, the couch will have to do. ;)
