This week Hunter and I had an appointment on campus to go tour the daycare he is enrolled in. It is a really nice facility. I got to meet the lady that runs the infants section and she was super nice. It is also great that he is on campus and I am just a short walk away. Plus, I have numerous friends and coworkers that had their children there and had nothing but great things to say.
There will only be 9 babies total and they have 3 staff members there at all times. So that makes a great baby to staff ratio. It is really organized too, which as a Type A personality I love. Hunter will have his own bin for his food, diapers and change of clothes. He also will have his own crib. They have buggies and take the kids out on walks around campus a few times a week and they usually stroll right by my office. So that will be fun.
I did however find this tour a little difficult. I got a rush of emotions, primarily what it will feel like to leave him when I return to work. I almost had tears during the tour while I just left him for 5 minutes to play with the other babies...lol. Oh lordy that first week is going to suck!!! But I know it will be great for him and he will have a ton of fun.
As you can see by the lower lip he wasn't too excited about going...but doesn't he look cute! lol.
And the lower lip turned into a complete meltdown when I had the gall to try a "Thelma and Louise" shot! Lol...still cute though, right?!?! :)
I will leave out the details, but when we got back we had to change. Ugh! Hunter is finally starting to warm up to the swing, but he has to be in a super good mood. It plays music and he always just stares at the speaker. He is jammin' out.
I officially start work on April 2 and I am only going back part time for 3 months. Which I am so thankful for. I think I (not Hunter) will need that entire time for the transition to full time daycare!!
April is coming way to quickly! But it sounds you have a great daycare lined up and the best of circumstances! Enjoy the rest of your month.
