Hunter Thomas Holliday

Introducing Hunter Thomas Holliday! Born Jan.. 10, 2012 at 4:43 a.m. Weighing 7 lbs 4 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long.

He was two weeks early, but I had to be induced because my blood pressure was getting scary high. They induced me at 11 a.m. on Monday and broke my water at 8:30 that evening. I was in labor for a total of 8 hours, which from what I hear is pretty good for a first time mom. Sure didn't feel like it at the time! They start counting how many hours you are in labor when hard labor starts, which was right after my water broke. Sheesh, felt contractions right away, and yes, they suck! Plus, I had to be laying down and on my side during the entire labor because of my blood pressure. But it was all worth it!

The last pic of me pregnant! *Um, please note my Dansko shoes below my bed. I love these shoes, pretty much wore them every day when I was pregnant. So imagine my disappointment when everything was said and done the nurse noticed they were a casualty of war. Yes, when my water broke the shoes got soaked. Sad!
And 8 (or so) hours later! Here is Hunter!
Getting all checked out. He got a 9 out of 10 on the Apgar scoring test, which they measure the health of the baby. He didn't get a 10 out of 10 just because his hands and feet were a little purple. *be sure to look at the time, he was only 13 minutes old!
Footprints!
That is Nicole, she was the nurse in the room during delivery and was great!!! We went through a lot of nurses during our 2 day stay and she was by far my favorite and I was so glad to have her during delivery.

Proud daddy! Mike was AMAZING during the whole process. He was so supportive and great and I couldn't have done it without him. Didn't think he could be a better husband, but he proved me wrong. I am so lucky!
First bath! Hunter isn't a fan.
First outfit. Thanks Steven and Cara!
Dr. Bruce Herman, my OBGYN doc. He was great and the best doctor ever. You get to know your doctor pretty well over 10 months and he was amazing!
The next day my mom and Aunt Cammy and Uncle Bob came to visit! It was so great having them there and they all helped out so much. Running errands and stocking the freezer full of dinners. I think my mom was in the kitchen the entire time she was here!! Thank you guys!!!

Time to go home! It wouldn't be right if he wasn't cuddling with Great-Grandma's blanket.

On our way out of the hospital. All the staff and visitors stopped to congratulate us...lol.

Home sweet home Hunter!!
We are all doing great. The first week has been a blur but we are loving every minute. Thanks to everyone for the calls and notes. We couldn't be happier and feel so blessed to have this little guy in our lives.
