Well, things are progressing. I have been a .5 centimeter dilated for about 10 days now! When my Dr. first told me at my appointment last week I about had a panic attack! Convinced I was going to give birth that weekend. I wasn't expecting to be dilated already!!! But I felt much better when I went in this week and I was just still at a .5 centimeter. Apparently it is pretty uncommon for a woman to be dilated already with her first pregnancy. Leave it to me to be outside the "norm."
Baby is also head down and ready to go. So it sounds like everything is on track! My Dr. is also sticking with the Jan. 24 due date. No change there, eventhough my brother and mother are convinced I am not going to make it more than a couple more weeks. I am hoping for end of January, he needs to cook a little longer and we need time to get a few more things done!!!
Anyway, he is moving a ton and I can tell he is getting really big. He gets the hiccups about every day, so that is fun..lol. Except when it is 3 a.m. and it wakes me up, but I don't mind. I have to pee anyway! :) He sometimes sits on my pelvic bone, making walking pretty much impossible. And since I am pretty swollen these days, my arms and hands go numb quite a bit. This is normal, which is good, but yes, I panicked I had a stroke first! Other than being incredibly uncomfortable on a constant basis, everything is just great! :)
Mike and I are looking forward to a very lazy Christmas weekend with the girl's. We will be working on the "before baby comes" to-do list too! Thank you to everyone for all the great Christmas cards and we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
