I was so excited that my dad came to visit this past weekend. He was able to stay for 5 days and we had a great time! I even took a couple days off of work so we could spend some time together.
On Sunday we took a drive, it was a gorgeous day, and went to the new Snoqualmie Casino. We had a good time, but all of us weren't too impressed with the casino, many stories for another day. On the way back home we stopped in Cle Elum at one of my favorite pizza places and had some good food, washed down with a couple of beers. ;)
The view from the casino was really pretty. I even wore the same sweater as last time, when Mike won all that money. I guess it didn't work this time...we made a nice donation to the Snoqualmie Indian Reservation...ugh.
The rest of the time we just played around the 'Burg and relaxed. Dad even made us dinner one night. Seafood fettucini, it was DELISH!!!
As you can see, we got a little snow. Mike had the wood stove going for us. It was so nice and cozy in our house!
Lacey had a little Barkday (or for you non-dog people, "birthday") party while Dad was here. She turned 6! Awe!! Mike stopped and got her some Barkday Cake (once again, this means a burger from McDonalds). She even has a bone as her candle. Lol.
Look how excited she is! She got a new toy too! SQUIRREL! Such a good dog to stay while I take a picture!
EXCITEMENT!
Pickle got some "cake" too...she wouldn't have understood why Lacey got one and she didn't...lol. Notice how she ate the meat first, didn't even touch the bun. And Lacey's tongue is hanging out...funny girls!
Oh yes, it was Valentines Day too. So much to celebrate when Dad was here! Mike got me a yummy soap and bath salt set. A candle too! He is so sweet.
I got him a beer made in Oregon that is called "Gone Fishin"...seemed appropriate. Oh, and some candy!
Look how excited he is to have his picture taken! What a trooper! :)
It was a busy but super fun weekend. Thanks Dad for a great time! Can't wait until you come back to the 'Burg!
great pictures of you and your dad! i love the dog birthday cakes...looks like they were consumed in no time!
