Thanksgiving 2009

Eventhough Mike and I weren't together on Thanksgiving, I managed to still have a great time visiting family. I went to Seattle and had turkey with my brother and his family.

My neice, Sophia, helping in the kitchen, so cute!

My brother Steven and I working so hard in the kitchen. Dinner was amazing!

Cara's mom, Deb, made amazing sweet potatoes!

The turkey was delicious!

Princess Sophia.

My brother and his wife Cara, who is 3 months preggers! Can't wait for baby no. 2 in May!

The girls had their own special Thanksgiving dinner. Canned turkey and gravy dog food. YUMMY!

On Friday we headed to Oregon. We all went to my Uncle Wes' funeral. He died of Lewy Body Dementia at the age of 66. It was a very sad day, but I was able to see a lot of family that I haven't seen in years.

He was a wonderful man and a great uncle. He was always so sweet and caring and I will miss him terribly. Here are a few pictures. The first is from Mike and I's wedding, where he "paid" to dance with me during the dollar dance. The second is when we all went out to dinner a couple of years ago.
On a lighter note, Mike spent Thanksgiving week near my old stomping grounds in northern Idaho with Kevin and Neil Westfall and Brett Richards from Myrtle Point. They had a great time and Mike came home with a buck. He was pretty excited and I was so proud of him!
The garage is nicely decorated. LOL. Can't wait for all of this to be in the freezer!
Thanks Steven and Cara for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! Looking forward to spending some time at home with Mike for a while! I keep hinting to start remodeling again...so far, Mike isn't intersted. HA! :)
